Some outdoor moments are easy to experience but hard to film.
You may be riding a bike, following a trail, setting up camp, or heading toward the water with both hands already busy. By the time you reach for your phone, the angle—or or the moment—is may be gone.
That is the idea behind the XTRA ATTO Outdoor POV Challenge, the first theme in ATTO POV of the Week.
From August 7 to August 14, show us an outdoor perspective that feels different from a typical handheld phone shot for a chance to win 1 × XTRA ATTO.

What Counts as an Outdoor POV?
You do not need an extreme adventure to enter.
The challenge is finding a perspective that brings viewers closer to what you are doing.
Your outdoor POV could be:
- A hiking or trail-running perspective
- A bike ride through a park or local route
- A camping setup or outdoor cooking moment
- A beach, paddle, kayak, or waterside shot
- A road-trip or scenic-walking perspective
- A low-angle shot from an unusual mounting position
- A hands-free view that would be difficult to capture while holding a phone
A good question to ask is:
What would the viewer see if they were actually doing this with me?
Sometimes the most interesting POV comes from an ordinary outdoor moment filmed from an unexpected position.
Why Xtra Atto Works for Outdoor POV Shooting
Xtra Atto is a 54g wearable 4K camera designed for hands-free first-person capture.
Its compact body and magnetic mounting system make it easier to place the camera on a wearable or compatible mount instead of keeping one hand around a phone.
For moving scenes, Xtra Atto records up to 4K/60fps and uses MotionMaster stabilization with TiltGuard horizon leveling.
It also supports up to 5 minutes of pre-recording, which can help preserve moments that begin before you press record.
For water-related outdoor shooting, the main camera is waterproof up to 10 meters without a case. When connected to the Multifunctional Vision Dock, the system provides IPX4 splash resistance. The Vision Dock alone is not waterproof.
The main camera offers up to 90 minutes of battery life, while total battery life can reach up to 220 minutes with the Multifunctional Vision Dock connected.
*Actual runtime may vary with recording settings, temperature, and usage.

Good to Know Before You Shoot
A creative POV should never require an unsafe setup.
Secure the camera before starting an activity, make sure mounts do not interfere with protective equipment or visibility, and follow local trail, road, park, venue, and water-safety rules.
Do not adjust a camera while cycling or during any activity that requires your full attention.
The goal is a more interesting perspective—not a more dangerous one.

The trail does not pause while you unlock your phone. Neither does the ride, the wave, or the moment you want to remember.
This challenge is about finding a perspective that puts viewers closer to the experience.

Xtra Atto FAQ
What is the battery life of Xtra Atto?
The main camera offers up to 90 minutes of battery life. With the Multifunctional Vision Dock connected, total battery life can reach up to 220 minutes. Data is based on lab testing at 25°C, 1080p/24fps (16:9), with MotionMaster on, Wi-Fi off, and the screen off.
Is Xtra Atto waterproof?
The main camera is waterproof up to 10 meters without a case. When used with the Multifunctional Vision Dock, the system provides IPX4 splash resistance. Please note that the Multifunctional Vision Dock alone is not waterproof.
Where are files stored on Xtra Atto? Can it record directly to a microSD card?
Files are stored in the camera's built-in storage. Xtra Atto does not support recording directly to the microSD card inside the Multifunctional Vision Dock. You can use the Vision Dock to quickly export files from the camera to a microSD card and free up internal storage.
Is it normal for Xtra Atto to get warm or stop recording because of overheating?
Yes. Due to its compact, highly integrated design, Xtra Atto may generate noticeable heat during high-resolution, high-frame-rate, or extended recording. This is normal. The camera includes overheat protection and may stop recording when it reaches a safe temperature limit.
For longer recording, we recommend using the camera in a well-ventilated environment, enabling Endurance Mode, lowering the bitrate, switching to 8-bit color, and setting the screen to turn off quickly.
Is XTRA ATTO available and supported in the United States?
Yes. Currently released XTRA products remain available for purchase in the United States. App features, firmware updates, customer service, and local support continue in full.
Does Xtra Atto support voice control?
Yes. Xtra Atto supports voice commands in English and Chinese. For best results, use voice control within 1 meter of the device in a quiet environment. English commands include Start Recording, Stop Recording, Take Photo, and Shut Down.
Does Xtra Atto support slow motion?
Yes. Xtra Atto supports up to 8x slow motion at 1080p/240fps, and 4x slow motion at 4K/120fps and 2.7K/120fps. Available settings may vary depending on the camera menu and firmware version.
