What Counts as a Pet POV?

Pet POV is about changing the perspective—not trying to stage the biggest or funniest pet video.

Think about the everyday moments that would feel completely different if viewers could experience them from closer to your pet’s world.

Your entry could be:

• A walk from your dog’s level
• The race toward a favorite toy
• Playtime in the backyard
• A cat exploring around the house
• A pet greeting you at the door
• Treat time from an unexpected angle
• A low-angle shot that follows your pet through the scene
• Your own hands-free POV while walking, playing, or training with your pet

The best idea may be something your pet already does every day.

Ask yourself:

What would this moment look like if the camera were closer to their world?

Keep Your Pet Comfortable and Safe

The shot should always come second to your pet’s comfort.

If you use a wearable or low-angle setup around an animal, make sure any equipment is secure and does not restrict movement, breathing, vision, or normal behavior.

Never force a pet to wear equipment if they appear uncomfortable, and do not use an unconfirmed mounting setup simply to get a more unusual angle.

You can also create a strong Pet POV without attaching a camera to your pet. Try an owner-worn perspective, a securely positioned low-angle camera, or another setup that lets your pet behave naturally.
